After completing my degree at Wits and my internship at the Helen Jospeh Hospital in 1995, I spent 3 years doing Ophthalmology in the UK. Seeking to know more about what makes us truly healthy and recognising that health is not limited to the physical level, I then spent 3 years in India studying Yoga, meditation and the ancient healing systems of the land.
On returning to SA, and after a one year stint in Medical Casualty at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, I entered General Practice In the Hyde Park Centre Office Suites and was in practice there for 15 years. During that time I developed an interest in Metabolic health, weight management and menopause medicine.
During COVID, I worked at Linksfield Hospital in the COVID ICU until Dec 2020 and then returned once again to General Practice.

Practice Philosophy
I believe that our patients need to be looked after in an integrated way and to be seen as multi-faceted beings, each part deserving of our care and consideration.
Why I Love being a Doctor
It is a great privilege to be involved in the story that leads a patient to sit in our offices and to share their concerns and problems. I love to connect with others in that often vulnerable space, and try to be a help in the finding of comfort in this often tricky journey called life.
